Front End demonstration
This is a demonstration of a website powered by the sNOWsh booking management application. You can install sNOWsh to your website in less than 10 minutes. After spending a few hours setting up your properties, rooms and settings; you will have a fully featured website with a powerful booking management system, customised to fit your business mode and branding. All hosted and secured on your own web space. The scripts also present your availability in an XML format that sNOWsh can look at to automatically include your details in our highly structured search engine network.
The interface of the sNOWsh booking management application has been designed by independent accommodation providers. The system is intuitive and simple. In fact after spending 10 minutes, most people don't even need to look at the manual!
The booking management application apart from being a fully featured bookings / reservations system is also a dynamic XML advertising engine. It not only keeps your own website up to date, but by using our XML search technology your news items, special offers, availability / prices and short breaks are also immediately added to www.snowsh.com and all our partner websites. Any time you take a booking or create a new offer or news item, your website will update sNOWsh.

So what's this website all about?
This is a demonstration of the sNOWsh booking management application. Yes it looks like a normal website, no surprises there! The main thing is the engine that powers this website, and the XML output it creates.
If you run a travel accommodation business or own a property you rent to tourists, a guesthouse, a chalet in the snow, a villa in the sun, yacht charter, chateaux, hotels, the list is long! Then you are at the right place. We have developed this application to help you not only power your website, but also your booking details, your calendars, your offers and news. By keeping your own bookings system up to date, you are keeping your website up to date as well. Your website then seamlessly keeps sNOWsh instantly up to date. There are no delays waiting for your website to be "crawled".
Remember the sNOWsh system is about up to date information. Each time you use your sNOWsh enabled website to manage your bookings, your public front end website is instantly updated. All your new availability information is automatically relayed to sNOWsh, we then relay it on to all our partner sites on your behalf. All this is done by your booking management client application and the sNOWsh servers. You just have to sit back and run your bookings. Everything else is done for you automatically. Nice.
Try making a booking, use the search availability form to find a property, then make a reservation request. Once you have done that, look in the admin area, go to bookings / manage. Make sure the filter is set to show all bookings and the date filter is correct. Voila! you should see your reservation request, all information ready to go. Want to confirm this booking? just click on the moderation button. Its now booked. the front end will also let you know that that week is not available. Don't want to show any live availability on your own website? OK, you can just switch it off or edit parts of it to suit your needs. Try to make a booking for dates that are already booked. The anti double booking function will warn you before you confirm any booking that conflicts with an existing one.

Here is a quick rundown of the sNOWsh system's main functions:
Properties:
We have built in three price model types, per room / per person / per property. You can setup detailed descriptions, add images, galleries. Select property features and more. From the property manage screen you can set up your weekly prices (if you prefer to have a per night rate, enter the nightly rate and update the price descriptors in the settings page). Once you have chosen a changeover day, the system automatically creates a weekly calendar for you! Don't forget though that you are totally in control of the booking process, the prices used here are really only for public guidance. We believe the best way to determine the actual price you offer to a potential client, comes after you have had personal contact with them, be it by Email, phone or Skype!
Rooms:
A room belongs to a property. All prop types need rooms. If it is a per property price model, then the rooms are used for information purposes. All bookings will secure the entire property in this case. You can setup detailed descriptions, add images, galleries. Select room features and more. If you have chosen a per room or per bed price model, you will be able to setup prices for each room. If you have chosen a per property model, then you just need to enter a single price per week for that property. The price matrix can be found in the property manage page (admin)
Bookings:
A booking request can be made from several places. Front End: search availability, booking request. Back end: Calendar page.
And from sNOWsh and our partner websites. When a booking request is made, the booking with all its details are sent to your booking admin, all details already ready and waiting in your bookings database for approval. You will also receive all booking details by Email. Perhaps you are away from your office? If you have a mobile phone capable of connecting to the internet, you can take bookings anywhere on the planet! PDA phones connected to a 3G network are best for this. you can even install Skype on a windows based PDA phone, combined with sNOWsh that's a full office in your pocket!
News items:
This is simply an engine to allow you to post news items to your website. Use it often. Updated content will help your search engine visibility. Your news items are also sent to sNOWsh for inclusion in the main portal in your resort pages. If you have heard of Blogs, then that's really what the news section is. Blogging has recently become a major part of the internet, we have taken the Blogging idea and used it in a new way.
Special offers
Here you can make a special offer. its like a news item, except its linked to the booking engine, and has a set lifetime, IE it will expire when the start date of the offer has been reached, or it has been booked. ( Each offer will still be in the admin back end even if it has expired. We recommend you regularly check through your offers and delete the old ones.)
Short breaks:
Much like the special offers section except a short break is less than 7 nights. Here you can make a short break. Perhaps you have taken a booking that finishes on Wednesday, but your next arrival isn't until Saturday. You could make a short break from this availability block. Its then instantly relayed to sNOWsh. Its kind of like a news item, except its linked to the booking engine, and has a set lifetime, IE it will expire when the start date of the offer has been reached, or it has been booked. This will help you keep the front end of your website clean and current. No more having to fiddle about deleting old content. ( Each short break will still be in the admin back end even if it has expired. We recommend you regularly check through your short breaks and delete the old ones.)
What's the difference between short break and special offer?
If you have a few days of availability in-between existing bookings, then as long as its less than 7 nights, set this as a short break. If you simply want to reduce the price of a certain week, or draw attention to it, then set this as a special offer.
On www.snowsh.com if we see that you have any availability in the coming week, we will automatically add it to our "last minute deals" page. In this case we suggest that you reduce your prices slightly.
XML output:
Availability information, pricing, special offers, short breaks and news items are all formatted into special XML pages that the sNOWsh servers can "aggregate"
